Achievements:
1985: All-Ireland Champion - Irish traditional airs.
1986: All-Ireland Champion - Dance Music of Ireland.
1987: All-Ireland Oireachtas Champion.
1998: Recipient of a Rehab People of the Year Award.
1999: Founder of the Irish Cross Border Music,Sports and Arts Peace Project.The aim is to promote peace and reconciliation through the medium of Music,Sport and the Arts.
The project has been endorsed by over 500 messages of support from political and religious leaders from around the world including musicians,sports celebrities and film stars.
All messages have been featured on a collage measuring
50ft x 5ft and is a regular feature at peace demonstrations and parades.

2006: Winner of the world chamionships for best solo traditional musician of the year.

Toured extensively throughout Europe, America and Canada,
Hong Kong, Tokyo,

TV appearances:
RTE 1: Late,Late Show.
RTE 1: Saturday Live.

Official functions:
Performed at various official functions in Àras an Uachtaráin,
Government functions and State banquets,Dublin's Mansion House,Dept of Foreign Affairs,Embassies and Civic receptions in Ireland and overseas.
